The Seattle Water Supply Operating Board is a board of representatives who have certain limited authority over policy and operational matters as they affect the Seattle Regional Water Supply System. These representatives pledge to represent the best interests of the region in order to provide overall direction to the administrator of the Seattle Regional Water Supply System.

The water supply system consists of two surface watersheds, the Cedar River, South Fork Tolt River, two wellfields, transmission mains, pumps, treatment facilities, and other pertinent infrastructure necessary to operate this Regional Water Supply System.
