Rates, Containers & Quantities

2010 Rates and Sizes
Monthly Residential Food and Yard Waste Can Rates - Effective January 1, 2010:


  • • 13-gallon (mini-can) at $4.10/month
  • • 32-gallon at $6.10/month
  • • 96-gallon at $7.85/month
Additional yard waste will cost $3.90 per bundle or extra unit.

2009 Rates and Sizes
Collection is weekly and subscribers can choose from three cart sizes:


  • • 13-gallon (mini-can) at $3.60/month

  • • 32-gallon at $5.40/month

  • • 96-gallon at $6.90/month
Additional yard waste costs $2.95 per bundle or unit.

Maximum weight allowed for the 96-gallon cart provided by the city is 180 pounds.

Extra Waste Charge
A fee of $2.95 per each 32-gallon container or 4 feet by 2 feet bundle is charged for any additional yard waste. See suggestions for
containers for extra yard waste. Bundles must be tied with natural fiber twine. No food waste is allowed in these extra units.

Maximum weight allowed for each extra container or bundle is 60 pounds.

Extra Food Waste
Food waste is allowed only in your city-provided cart. If your city-provided cart is full, you can
chill your food waste for the next collection or bag it and put it in the garbage
