Recycle Gas Mowers and Save!

Between April 15 and May 15, Seattle residents who recycle their old gas mowers will receive a $25 rebate coupon towards a new push or electric mulch mower. And by purchasing their new mower from any Northwest Natural Yard Days (April 15 - May 15) store, they can increase their savings!

Why Recycle Gas Mowers?
Gas mowers are noisy, polluting and expensive to run. Switch to a clean push or electric mulch mower and start saving money while helping to fight climate change.

Did You Know?
Did you know that mowing for one hour with a gas-powered lawn mower creates more pollution than driving from Safeco Field to the Tacoma Dome and back? (Source: Puget Sound Clean Air)

How Do I Receive My Rebate?

  • • Take your old gas mower to the North or South Recycling & Disposal stations (see locations, hours and directions below) between April 15 and May 15 and receive a $25 rebate coupon towards a new push or electric mulch mower. Make sure you drain the gas and oil from your mower beforehand! You must be a City of Seattle resident to qualify.

  • • Send in a copy of your receipt with the rebate coupon and we’ll send you a $25 check. Send the receipt to:
