** Old Contracts/New Contracts: Seattle Public Utilities sells water to its wholesale water customers under the terms of wholesale contracts. Seattle and its water customers first signed contracts in 1982 ("Old Contracts"). In 2001, a new wholesale contract ("New Contracts") was negotiated and many wholesale customers have switched to it. Because the contract terms and conditions are different, the rates under the new contracts are different than the rates under the old contracts.
