Wholesale customers seeking information, documents, records or staff assistance can save time by utilizing the Water Contracts Manager as the primary contact.
The Wholesale Water Contracts Manager leads the development, implementation, and management of processes related to wholesale customer issues, and ensures responsive communication and the appropriate, timely handling of issues by SPU staff.
SPU's Wholesale Water Contracts Manager can help you with:
- • Bringing issues/concerns to the attention of the Wholesale Water Customer
- • Coordinating activities between SPU and Wholesale Water Customers
- • Arranging SPU representation at Wholesale Water Customer Forums
- • Providing SPU staff with current emergency/non-emergency contact lists
- • Representing SPU issues to key stakeholders (i.e., Commissioners, Mayors, Council Members).
What you can do to help SPU's Wholesale Contracts Manager:
- • Inform the Wholesale Water Contracts Manager about events, projects, or situations that may be of interest to the Wholesale Water Customer as soon as possible
- • Remember to include the Wholesale Water Contracts Manager and Wholesale Water Customers on invitation lists for groundbreaking, grand openings, and special events
- • Project Managers should be prepared to provide periodic updates to the Wholesale Water Contracts Manager directly or through a representative of the Wholesale Service Request Committee (“WSRC”).
Contract Operational Obligations:
- • Seattle will consult with Water Utility as to the necessity of any capital construction projects prior to seeking Seattle City Council approval
- • Seattle shall maintain a minimum hydraulic gradient or head at a maximum flow rate in amounts and at locations described for each Water Utility’s distribution system
- • At Water Utilities request and expense, Seattle shall install and maintain meter equipment selected by Water Utility and approved by Seattle
- • When capital or large operations and maintenance projects are required that create either an interruption in service or incur cost to be paid by Cascade, a more detailed and formal process will be undertaken: 1) A letter, 2) A pre-design meeting and 3) A pre-construction meeting.
- • Upon the occurrence of an unforeseen or unavoidable event, Seattle shall, to the extent practicable, treat wholesale and retail customers equally and any curtailment of supply shall be imposed proportionately among those customers
