Volunteer to Increase Recycling
You may be interested in signing up to be a Friend of Recycling & Composting (FORC) for your property. If so, please contact your property manager and refer them to http://www.seattle.gov/util and search for “food waste FORC.” Or email this link: http://www.seattle.gov/util/Services/Yard/FoodYardWaste-ApartmentOwners/index.htm. Volunteers watch a DVD about recycling and sign a pledge to become a FORC.
Friends of Recycling and Composting:
- Educate others about how to recycle and cut down their garbage.
- Monitor the recycling bins at your apartment building.
- Answer questions about recycling.
This program only applies to buildings with five or more units.
