Recycle at Your Apartment
Apartment Recycling Bags
Use your blue reusable polyethylene recycling bags to transport your recycling from your unit to your building’s recycling area. Bags were provided to all units that were signed up for recycling service as of February 2003. Bags will continue to be provided when new buildings sign up while supplies last. When your move, please leave your recycling bag for the next tenant to use!
Using your recycling bag

Your bag holds 4 gallons of recycling.
It has 2 pockets, so you can put your glass bottles and jars in the smaller pocket and your mixed recycling in the larger pocket with the Velro closure at the top. Close the Velcro to empty the glass.
There is a handle on the bottom of the bag to help you empty it into your recycling containers.
You can use your bag over and over again.

Refer to the recycling guidelines printed on the bag to know what your can and can’t recycle.
Store your bag under a sink, or hang it by the handles in a closet.

Cleaning your recycling bag
Wash the bag by hand in a sink or tub and hang it upside down by the bottom handle to dry. DO NOT put it in a washer or dryer.
