Recycling organizations
Many recycling organizations accept unwanted computers and other electronics, including televisions and VCRs. See the Take It Back Network for details. There may be charge for recycling your electronic equipment, due to collection and processing costs.
Because computers and other electronics may contain heavy metals, such as mercury and lead, they cannot be put in your garbage or recycling cans at home.
