Batteries


Alkaline batteries
Throw alkaline batteries (A, C, D, 9v, etc.) away in your garbage can.

These batteries no longer contain mercury and are safe to throw away.


Rechargeable batteries
You can recycle rechargeable batteries at many retail outlets. Types of batteries that can be recycled are found in:

  • • cordless power tools
  • • cellular and cordless phones
  • • laptop computers
  • • camcorders
  • • digital cameras
  • • remote control toys
