Small Event Recycling
For recycling at small events follow these easy steps:
1. Contact SPU at (206) 615-1700 to get help in deciding what types of recycling you may do at your event. We can also help you with the following:
- • Decide how many recycling bins you will need
- • Give guidance on how to provide recycling education for your staff, vendors, and event participants.
2. Acquire recycle bins, which should be paired with litter cans, for your event. They can be purchased (PDF) or rented if your organization does not own any.
3. After the event, sort non-recyclables from the cans and bottles and take the items to a Recycling & Disposal Station.
Have a great event, and see how much you have diverted from the landfill afterwards! Please let SPU staff know how many people attended your event and how many tons of material was recycled by calling: (206) 615-1700.
