How to Apply for a Stormwater Facility Credit
To apply for stormwater facility credit, please complete an application (PDF) and send it to:

Completed applications must be received by November 1 of a given year to be considered for credit in the subsequent year (i.e., Applications must be received by November 1, 2008 for a credit to be applied to the 2009 drainage bill.)
Once SPU has received your application, you will be notified by letter. An on-site inspection may be necessary to verify that your facility is maintained and functioning properly.
Please be advised that your stormwater facilities must be properly maintained and functioning to be eligible for the stormwater facility credit. See Section 21.33.040 of the Seattle Municipal Code and maintenance inspections for further information.
In addition, stormwater facilities that are required by code and found to be non-functioning during the credit inspection must be repaired at the expense of the property owner, pursuant to SMC 22.802.090.
