Request a Credit Balance Refund

You can request a refund check for your Seattle Public Utilities or Seattle City Light account if you:

  • • have closed your account

  • • have a credit balance after the final bill was issued for your account

  • • are the account holder

  • • are NOT on the Budget Billing Program

  • • do NOT receive utility rate assistance
Checks are mailed 3-4 weeks after the request is received.
