Brake or Transmission Fluid

Hazardous – no charge

Bring brake and transmission fluids to a household hazardous waste facility:

  • Put brake and transmission fluids in a sealed container that is 5-gallons or less.
  • Limit 50-gallons per trip.

Did you know?

Don’t pour brake and transmission fluids down drains or toilets, down storm drains, or into soil. These all cause water pollution.

Decrease waste: Choose reusable items or donate to thrift stores.
