All clean bottles and jars go in your recycling cart.

Jars coated with oily food (like peanut butter) can be wiped first with a paper towel then cleaned. Please do not dump cooking oil or grease down the drain.

Glass bottles and jars are banned from Seattle's garbage.

Do not recycle other glass items - they have different melting points, and can ruin recycling.

Lids 3 inches or larger go into the recycling cart. Smaller lids go in the garbage.

Metal foil (from the top of wine bottles) goes in the garbage.
