Organics Processing – 2016 Request for Proposals (RFP)

The City of Seattle is requesting proposals for processing organic materials produced by City residential, commercial and self-haul customers. Qualifying proposals will include processing up to 50% of the organic materials collected by the City’s contractors. This will not include the yard/foodwaste currently being composted under the City’s existing composting contract with Lenz Enterprises nor open market commercial organics. The City may award one or multiple processing contracts. New processing services would begin July 1, 2017 until 2020 with the potential for two 2-year extensions.
