The City of Seattle’s GIS data is an important resource for engineers, land planners, architects, utility designers, and others who consult or provide technical services to city departments. The GIS group fields hundreds of requests from city staff and the public who are looking for geographic maps and data in a variety of digital formats to support their work. We offer the following services:
Use this application to better understand utility infrastructure serving your property. Use this self-service tool to create a PDF map to download and print. Create a map of your property.
Use the DSO's Water and Sewer Map to research existing Seattle water, drainage, and sewer infrastructure for new property purchases or development.

GIS utility infrastructure data within Seattle is provided on a project-specific basis and licensed for specific use. Request data sets
The Express Mapping application in being retired as of February 28th, 2019. The system has reached end of life and has been replaced by the Homeowner Research Map. This online mapping application displays updated and refreshed data and works faster than the outdated Express Mapping application.
If you are unable to use the Homeowner Research Map, we can provide you with a PDF map generated from the Homeowner Research Map application on request. The map can be emailed to you or it can be picked up in person. Please allow three business days for processing.
We will continue to provide the Express Map service until February 28th 2019.
