Car Tips

Every year, oil and other automotive fluids find their way to Puget Sound and other waterways, hurting wildlife and habitat. Seattle Public Utilities’ Automotive Maintenance Program wants to help you make sound choices.

Free! Auto Leaks Class

Help keep oil and other fluid leaks from your car from harming our local waterways and wildlife.

Join the experts at South Seattle Community College, Shoreline Community College, Renton Technical College and West Seattle High School for a free auto leaks class. Have your car inspected, learn where most leaks occur, how to fix them and get an oil spill cleanup kit.

Classes are offered on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Upcoming 2013 dates include:

  • May 18: South Seattle Community College, West Seattle High School, Renton Technical College
  • May 23: Shoreline Community College
  • June 1: Renton Technical College
  • June 6: Shoreline Community College
  • June 15: South Seattle Community College
