Fish

The City's HCP includes protection, monitoring and conservation actions for several fish species: bull trout, pygmy whitefish, sockeye salmon, coho salmon, Chinook salmon, and steelhead. These fish receive special attention under the HCP due to their population status, cultural or recreational importance or the potential to impact them through water and hydroelectric operations. Several facilities, research and monitoring projects were developed under the HCP specifically to address concerns related to these fish species.
