Grab your family and friends for a day of wild delight, both inside and out, at the Center. This free, hands-on event is packed with wildlife activities that will interest all ages. With so much to experience, bring a lunch and stay for the whole day. Open house event; no registration needed.

Winter Adventure Hike

Join a naturalist for a 2-mile all-age adventure hike along the trails of Rattlesnake and Christmas Lakes.  Experience the natural wonders of winter and look for early signs of spring in these wild wetland areas.  This hike is geared for ages 7 and up.  However, younger kids are invited and will need to keep pace and/or be carried in a backpack. Dress warmly, wear sturdy shoes, and bring a snack and something to drink to keep everyone going.  Please no strollers or pets.  Please register all people attending, adults and children.

Join a Watershed Naturalist for an exploratory walk in nature, discovering the hidden surprises of our natural world! Bundle up and come prepared to walk about one mile interspersed with a variety of activities. Then, take a closer look at nature’s treasures using microscopes!  We recommend you dress in warm layers, wear shoes that can get muddy, and bring along your curiosity and wonder.  Please register all people attending, adults and children.

Each Storytime features a wild animal or nature theme that occurs in the watershed. First, a naturalist will read a story and share pictures and videos about the week's theme; then you can make a craft or enjoy coloring pages inspired by the theme. ADA accessible. All ages welcome. Please register all people attending, adults and children.
