Education

Explore the programs we offer for you to learn about the environment and get involved. We partner with schools to promote green practices.

Our most popular education programs exist at the Seattle Public Utilities Cedar River Watershed Education Center, which offers free 4th and 5th grade naturalist-led watershed field trips to public and private schools in the spring and fall. For younger or older students, we offer group visits. Email us for more information. You can also explore our recreation area and trails.

Can't make it to the Cedar River Watershed Education Center? Browse our online learning resources to dive into many topics related to your drinking water. There are many video and text-based resources that teachers can use to help students understand our drinking water system, how to use water wisely, the history of the watersheds, and more.
