Stream-breeding Amphibians

Amphibian species found in the watershed are not listed as threatened or endangered under the Endangered Species Act, but the tailed frog is a federal species of concern.  Tailed frog is also listed as a state monitor species, meaning it is monitored for status and distribution.  Recent research indicates that amphibians may be declining on a global scale and many species are considered indicators of overall ecosystem health.
