Solid Waste Facility Update

Seattle Public Utilties (SPU) will receive proposals for the design and construction of a new transfer station for the South Recycling and Disposal Station (SRDS) on August 17, 2009. A design-build firm will be selected In the winter of 2009.

Design of a new North Transfer Station is scheduled to being in 2011. A request for proposals (RFP) for support services to develop a design-build contract will be issued in late 2009.
