Seattle Public Utilities provides grants and other funding opportunities to promote collaboration between the City and the community to help meet Seattle’s environmental and conservation goals.
- Food Recovery Infrastructure Grants
Assist Seattle food banks and meal programs with infrastructure investments to increase their food recovery capacity. No applications are being accepted for 2013. - School Recycling & Waste Reduction Grants
Implement or expand food waste composting, recycling and waste reduction programs in Seattle K-12 public and private schools. Applications accepted on a rolling basis in 2013, while funds last. - King Conservation District Grants
Implement natural resource improvement and stewardship projects on public and private land within the boundaries of the City of Seattle. The 2013 grant round is May 8 - June 28, 2013. A grant workshop will be held May 17, 1-2 p.m. at the Columbia Branch Library. - Trees for Neighborhoods
Help Seattle residents plant trees in their yards and along their streets. Participants in the program receive free trees, watering bags and training on proper planting and care.
