HIGHLIGHTS

-  Funeral procession for fallen Officer Timothy Brenton scheduled for Friday, Nov 6th beginning at 9AM.  The funeral procession route can be found here.  General purpose traffic will not be allowed on the route during the procession, nor will traffic be able to cross through the procession.
-  One lane of Southbound I-5 will be closed at the Convention Center this Saturday and possibly Sunday A.M.

Overnight closures of Alaskan Way S Alaskan Way S will be closed one night this week. Specific night TBD. This closure is related to the South End Replacement project.
Nov 9-13 Qwest Field Garage restrictions Access will be restricted to the Qwest Field Garage overnights for concrete pours and the removal of falsework as part of the SR 519 project.

Spokane Street 4th Avenue Eastbound Off-Ramp (SDOT) One lane of southbound 6th Ave S will be removed at the S Spokane St intersection this week. Access to I-5 will not be affected.
Nov 9 -Feb '10 Sidewalk/Stair closure at Edgar Martinez Way and 4th Ave S Crews will close the sidewalk on the north side of Edgar Martinez Way. Also, crews will close the stairs and sidewalk on the southbound 4th Ave S ramp to I-5, I-90, etc.

Dec 4-18 Closure of Atlantic / Alaskan Way S intersection As part of the Alaskan Way Viaduct Holgate to King Stage 1 Project, crews will be closing this intersection around the clock for two weeks. A detour via 1st Ave will be provided.

Alaskan Way Viaduct - Holgate to King (WSDOT) The center turn lane has been removed on Alaskan Way between S Atlantic St and S Massachusetts streets. Alaskan Way will be reduced to one lane in each direction.

Spokane Street 4th Avenue Eastbound Off-Ramp (SDOT) Eastbound S Spokane St between East Marginal Way and 1st Ave is closed for water main work and re-paving of the roadway.

Funeral Procession of Officer Timothy Brenton The funeral procession will leave from UofW E-1 lot at 9am and will make its way to Key Arena via Montlake Blvd NE, 24th Ave E, 23rd Ave E, E Madison St, E Pine St, Broadway and Denny Way. Traffic will not be allowed on these roads during the procession, nor will traffic be able to cross the procession.

Sidewalk restoration on 6th Ave and Pine St Crews will be doing restoration work at the corner of 6th and Pine. The sidewalk will remain open, a few parking places will be removed and one lane will be removed.

Wheelchair ramp work at 1st Ave and Columbia Crews will be retrofitting 5 wheelchair ramps at this intersection. One lane on Columbia and one lane on 1st Ave will be closed for this work.

Sidewalk restoration on 8th Ave and James St Crews will be doing restoration work on the sidewalk of James St between 8th and 9th Avenues. One lane will be blocked in each direction.

Panel replacements on 3rd Ave Downtown (SDOT) 3rd Ave will be closed between Pine and Stewart, as well as between Stewart and Virginia, for panel replacement work. The road will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Pike and Pine streets.

Pike Street Closed from 1st to 2nd Avenues Pike Street will be closed this weekend for concrete panel replacement.

Geotechnical Drilling for the Alaskan Way Viaduct Program Crews will close the left and right parking lanes of 4th Avenue between Lenora and Blanchard streets. The right driving lane will also be closed and a second driving lane may be closed mid-day to move equipment.

Battery Street Tunnel Cleaning - Northbound Only Crews will close the northbound portion of the Battery Street Tunnel (SR 99) overnight for work on the fire suppression system.
Nov 14-15 Lane closures on 4th Ave at Main St Crews will be repaving the 4th Ave/Main St intersection this weekend. Depending on conditions, the intersection may be either completely closed with a detour provided or partially open to traffic.
