Yes. From the Adobe Acrobat reader pdf file, go to the menu bar, select “Edit” and then select “find”. Type in the word(s) you want to search in the pdf document.
In some cases, the websites you link to will require you to input additional information to find the answers to your questions (e.g., the DPD zoning map finder). In other cases, the information will be readily accessible (e.g., the street class pdf file.)
(Hint: If you are linked to a website where the information you are looking for is not apparent, do a word search using their search engine to quickly find hits on your topic)

The Search Engine and Detailed Table of Contents are great tools for quick access to information on the website. The search engine text box can be found at the top of the right-hand navigation menu. Simply type a key word(s) into the text box and select “go” to perform a search. A link to the Detailed Table of Contents is found at the top of the right-hand navigation menu on every page of the Manual.

The Seattle Right-of-Way Improvements Manual is presented online in both HTML (the online language of the Internet) and Adobe Acrobat format (PDF). The website is optimized for viewing with both Internet Explorer and Netscape browsers at a display screen resolution of 1024 x 768. If your computer system doesn't currently have Adobe Acrobat installed, you may install Adobe Acrobat Version 6 by selecting the link at the bottom of the right-hand navigation menu column on the website; follow the instructions provided by the Adobe Acrobat website.
Parking permits are not covered in the ROWIM. Please visit the City of Seattle Transportation website for more detailed information on applying for parking permits.
A number of City departments oversee permitting. Chapter 2 of the ROWIM can help you identify the type of permit(s) needed for your project and contains links to other City departments for more detailed permitting information.
