ORCA Opportunity

The ORCA Opportunity Program provides fully-funded 12-month ORCA cards to improve access to transit for various populations in Seattle. ORCA Opportunity is funded by Propostion 1, part of the Seattle Transportation Benefit District (STBD)

Below are the specific programs offered through ORCA Opportunity. Click on the program names to connect to more information.

The ORCA Opportunity cards provide no cost, unlimited transit on King County Metro, King County Water Taxi, Seattle Streetcar, Seattle Center Monorail, Sound Transit, Community Transit, Pierce Transit, Kitsap Transit, and Everett Transit. The ORCA cards may not be used on Washington State Ferries.

For riders not eligible for an ORCA Opportunity Program, there are other affordable ways to get to work, school, shopping, day care or anywhere else you need to go through King County Metro. To learn more and find out if you qualify, visit King County Metro's Reduced Fare Portal or call (206) 553-3000 or (800) 756-5437. You can also find out which fare is right for you on their website. The website also has an eligibility tool to quickly determine which card you qualify for.

Additionally, ORCA LIFT is a new, reduced transit fare that can help you get more out of your public transportation system.  Your new ORCA LIFT card will work just like a regular ORCA card-except each ride will cost up to 50% less! To learn more and find out if you qualify, visit www.orcalift.com or call (206) 553-3000 or (800) 756-5437.

If you have any additional questions, please email ORCAOpportunity@seattle.gov or call/text 206-256-ORCA (6722).
