Neighborhood Walks

Help make Seattle the Most Walkable City in the Nation!

Head outside with neighbors, friends and family and organize a neighborhood walk in your community!

Getting involved is EASY!
Volunteer to be a Neighborhood Walk Captain. Select a meeting location, invite your neighbors, determine a route, WALK and then complete the walking survey. Surveys can be completed online in English or mailed to the Seattle Department of Transportation free of charge.

The information provided in the surveys will help the project team make Seattle the Most Walkable City in the Nation!

- Print a map to plan your walk
- Create a flyer to post in your neighborhood
- Contact mostwalkablecity@seattle.gov to request paper copies of the walking preferences survey.

  • Surveys are available in Spanish, Somali, Tigrinya, Amharic, Vietnamese, Chinese, Cambodian and Oromo
  • A large font version is also available for people with “limited vision”
