Walkinginfo.org - Pedestrian and Bicycle Information Center – USDOT-sponsored clearinghouse for information about health and safety, engineering, advocacy, education, and access and mobility. Includes Exemplary Pedestrian Plans

National Center for Bicycling and Walking – This organization helps to create bicycle-friendly and walkable communities across North America. Their next biennial “Pro Bike/ Pro Walk”conference in 2008 is being held in Seattle.

Municipal Research and Services Center of Washington -The MRSC is a non-profit, independent organization whose mission is "working together for excellence in local government through professional consultation, research and information services." This link provides a host of Washington-specific information related to developing pedestrian and bicycle facilities.
