Pike Street - First Avenue to Second Avenue

Pike Street Construction Completed

June 26, 2009 The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) and its contractor, Gary Merlino Construction Company, are making improvements to several arterials in Downtown Seattle, including Pike Street between First Avenue and Second Avenue.

The contractor started work on this street May 18, and completely rebuilt the one block area within a one week period.

Pike Street was closed for 5 days beginning May 18 th, in order to minimize disruption and maximize safety and efficiency. Sidewalks were kept open and adjacent businesses accessible.
