Temporary No Parking Zones

TNP Conditions of Use

  1. All applications must be made at least 24 hours in advance of when you need the spaces reserved (including extensions).
  2. Temporary No Parking Zones are established to restrict regular parking and provide curb space for purposes such as construction activity (which may require a Street Use permit), moving vans, or to clear a street for special events like a parade. The restricted area is not to be used for parking of personal vehicles. Any valid on-street parking space, whether paid or unpaid, may be considered for use as a Temporary No Parking Zone.
  3. To occupy the Temporary No Parking Zone all vehicles must have a Restricted Area Permit (RAP). Restricted Area Permits are only issued for trucks (pick-ups, moving vans, commercial delivery vehicles, etc.) and service vans with truck or commercial vehicle plates; passenger vehicles and non-truck vehicles are not eligible.
  4. No sign installations or removals will occur on weekends or holidays.
  5. Regardless of reservation type, you must observe all peak hour restrictions as otherwise posted.
  6. You must notify adjacent properties/retail establishments when using paid parking spaces.

Indemnification: The permit holder agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the City of Seattle, its officials, officers, employees, and agents against: (1) any liability, claims, causes of action, judgments, or expenses, including reasonable attorney fees, resulting directly or indirectly from any act or omission of any permit holder, anyone directly or indirectly employed by them, and anyone for whose acts or omissions they may be liable, arising out of the permit holder's use of the public right-of-way; and (2) all loss by the failure of the permit holder to fully or adequately perform, in any respect, all authorizations or obligations under the Permit.
