Health Performance Measures

Self reported physical activity
This measure would compare the percent of respondents reporting little of no physical activity on the Seattle-King County Public Health survey. The performance target is a decreasing percentage of survey respondents that report little to no physical activity.

Increase number of children walking or biking to or from school
This measure would compare the number of children walking to school. School travel surveys completed by schools participating in Safe Routes to School programs would be used to track the number of children walking to school. The goal would not be to track the total number of children walking to school throughout the city. The number of children walking at the selected schools would serve as a proxy measure. The performance target is an increasing number of walking trips at the selected schools.
