Sub-Area Transportation Plans

Typically, sub-area plans examine current conditions and future demand upon the transportation network in a particular area and recommend projects to address todays needs and manage anticipated growth. Taking direction from the Comprehensive Plan and the Transportation Strategic Plan, these sub-area plans emphasize improvements to the non-motorized system, placing a heavy emphasis on projects that make walking a safer, more convenient and more practical mode of travel for short trips, recreational excursions, and commuting.
