Restricted Parking Zone (RPZ) Online Permitting 2010 Program Changes The system for permit distribution and the actual permits themselves changed in 2010: Permits have been designed specifically for each vehicle, with the vehicle's license plate imprinted on the decal and guest hangtag. This is helpful to enforcement staff, who provide better enforcement because of these permits. Current permits are still valid until their expiration date. Registration requirements: Your vehicle must be registered with the Washington State Department of Licensing (WA DOL) in your name and at your address. To change your address online, visit: http://www.dol.wa.gov/vehicleregistration/changeaddress.html . If your name does not appear on the vehicle registration, you may not qualify to receive a decal for your vehicle. Click here for information on how to add your name to the vehicle registration certificate Permit Limits: Each residential address is eligible for up to four RPZ decals and one guest hangtag per address. Parking Location: You must park within six blocks of your home address. Single-Day Permits: Single-day use guest permits are available, up to five per day, up to a total of 50 per year per address, at $1 each. (Not available in Zones A and B).
