Pay Station Neighborhoods: Downtown Ballard

Starting the week of November 14, 2005, SDOT will install new paid parking in Downtown Ballard as well as convert the existing single-space parking meters to pay stations. SDOT has scaled back the candidate areas for expansion after careful review of on-street parking conditions, area land uses, and community comments about the difficulties of changing from free to paid parking. More information is available in the community letter and map that was recently sent to Ballard residents, businesses and property owners.

SDOT hired a local transportation planning consulting firm to collect on-street parking information. Their report is available here.
