Paid Parking Changes

The map below shows current (as of 2013) hourly rates for parking throughout the City of Seattle’s paid parking neighborhoods. Click each neighborhood for more information.

What is SeaPark, SDOT’s Performance-Based Parking Pricing Program?

SeaParkSince late 2010, SDOT has set on-street parking rates and hours of operation based on occupancy data, to achieve a goal articulated by the Mayor and City Council – to achieve, on average, one to two spaces available per block for visitor and shopper access. We can improve the parking experience by enabling people to find parking faster and spend less time circling, which also means less congestion and vehicle emissions.

Look for the new SeaPark signs with the P logo.

Check out this system map.

SDOT completed the following changes in 2012:

  • Ten areas with maximum hourly parking extended to four hours or all-day
  • Eight areas with evening paid parking with maximum hourly parking extended from two hours to three hours after 5 pm
  • Five areas with a $0.25/hour or $0.50/hour rate increase (about 15% of total spaces)
  • Three areas with a $0.50/hour rate decrease (about 10% of total spaces)

No changes made in Fremont, First Hill, Green Lake, 12th Avenue, and Cherry Hill.
