Service Outage

Some of SDOT’s web-based services such as traffic cameras may not be available over the extended Labor Day weekend, from Thursday evening through Tuesday afternoon, while maintenance is performed on a portion of the city’s electrical system.  The Street Use Permit counter will be closed, although the Traffic Permit Counter and on-line permitting will remain available.

Once power is restored, technicians will bring the various applications back on line and resolve any unforeseen difficulties as quickly as possible. Customers are advised to consult SDOT’s Web site on Tuesday to determine availability of services before traveling downtown to conduct business such as applying for a Street Use Permit.

Actual traffic operations, such as traffic signal, dynamic message signs, parking pay stations, and bridge operations will not be affected by the outage. On-line reporting of potholes and other street-related requests will function normally. The SDOT Blog, On the Move (traffic advisories) and Facebook site will remain available.
