Northgate Coordinated Transportation Investment Plan
"Better Ways to Get Around in Northgate"
SDOT Selects Mirai as CTIP Consultant
The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) is pleased to announce the selection of Mirai Associates as the consultant team to assist SDOT in undertaking the Northgate Comprehensive Transportation Investment Plan (NCTIP). While both Mirai and the other finalist - Norton-Arnold - competing for this role were highly qualified and fully participated in the selection process, SDOT decided that the Mirai-led team which also included Parsons Brinckerhoff, Huckell-Weinman, Henderson, Young and Company and EnviroIssues brought a most exceptional range of experience and depth of talent to the project.
SDOT looks forward to bringing Mirai team on board as soon as an initial contract can be finalized. Their first major objective will be to develop a "scope of work" for CTIP. What that means is a list of specific tasks that will comprise the key elements of CTIP, from analysis of current and future needs to specific improvements. This task list will be developed with direction from SDOT and other City departments, and with significant input from the community.
Soon you'll see posted to this page a description of the scoping process, a schedule of major milestones and important questions you might consider to help Mirai and the City develop the scope. In addition, please feel free to contact me at any time with questions or comments regarding CTIP.
