WSDOT crews are replacing the expansion joints and resurfacing northbound lanes between S. Spokane Street and I-90. In addition to some nighttime and weekend closures in both directions of I-5 for several months, this work mandates 19 long, labor-intensive days of northbound I-5 lane closures, currently scheduled between Aug. 10 and 29. These concentrated closures allow crews to complete the job as efficiently and safely as possible with the least effect on drivers, businesses and events.
