Crosswalk Projects

Completed Projects
Between 2002 and 2005, 37 marked crosswalks have been evaluated. Twenty of these have been signalized, rechannelized, or otherwise improved. Seventeen have been removed. For details, click here. During this same time period, 50 new marked crosswalks have been installed throughout the city.
Mayor Nickels and the City Council approved $1.325 million in funding in June of 2006 to improve all remaining marked crosswalks that do not meet SDOT's revised guidelines. Select from the links below for additional information about some of SDOT's recent crosswalk projects.
