Large Neighborhood Street Fund (NSF) Projects: 33rd Avenue NE between NE 125th St and NE 130th St April 2013
Project Overview The community is committed to building the new sidewalk and drainage improvements and successfully competed for funding through the Neighborhood Street Fund (NSF), a city-administered program that works with communities to prioritize and build neighborhood projects. Project Location 33rd Ave NE between N 125th and N 130th Streets on the west side of the street where sidewalk does not exist Project Description
These changes will improve the pedestrian environment by providing a landscaped buffer from traffic; improve drainage and lighting as well as traffic calming the street. The new street width on 33rd Ave NE will be 34’ wide with parallel on-street parking on both sides of the street. The narrowed street width will have a traffic calming benefit for the neighborhood and further enhance pedestrian safety. Project Schedule: April 2012: Construction Begins Construction is estimated to be complete by early June depending on weather
