NOTES: "Place" is an incorporated city or other densely settled area locally named. For this analysis, Seattle has been divided at the Ship Canal and at Yesler Way into North, Central and South parts. "Workers" are residents who reported a place of work (paid or volunteered) the week prior to completing the 2000 Census. "Carpool" includes vehicles with two or more people, taxis, and motorcycles. "Transit" includes bus, streetcar, rail, elevated rail, and ferry boat.
