Burke-Gilman Trail Extension Projects Photo Gallery

On July 25, over 150 community members and bicyclists gathered to
celebrate the completion of the newest segment of the Burke Gilman Trail
from the Hiram Chittenden Locks to NW 60th Street.

Mayor Nickels emceed the event and talked of his goal to make
Seattle the most bicycle-friendly city in the nation.
|
|
|
Mayor Nickels received assistance with the ribbon-cutting from a
young bicyclist, King County Councilmember Larry Phillips, and several
City Council members.

|
|
After the ceremony, Mayor Nickels stepped in to cutting the cake for
the event attendees.
