Seattle Mariners

general info | map & directions

The Seattle Mariners are a Major League Baseball team based in Seattle, Washington. They are in the Western Division of the American League. On April 6, 1977, Major League Baseball returned to Seattle when the Mariners played the California Angels before a Kingdome crowd of 57,762. The Mariners opened a new chapter in club history when they played in the new open air ballpark Safeco Field on July 15, 1999.

Safeco Field has gained a reputation locally, regionally and nationally as a terrific setting for baseball and a great place for baseball fans. Sweeping views of the downtown Seattle skyline and breathtaking sunsets over Puget Sound combined with excellent views of game action from all angles, giving fans at Safeco Field an experience unequalled in Major League Baseball.
