Safety Scholars Video Contest
Drivers between the ages of 16 and 21 can submit a one-minute video concerning driver safety or ecological automobile topics. Your video may be selected to air as a PSA, and the top three filmmakers will each win a $5,000 college scholarship. Submission deadline is June 17.

Langston Hughes Teen Musical

In 2006, The Langston Hughes Performing Arts Center celebrated its 10th year of the All Teen Summer Musical. The musical boasts over 70 young people, showcasing their acting, dancing, singing and tech skills every August at the Seattle Repertory Theater, and attracts thousands of audience members.

The Vera Project: All Ages Music

In 2000, the city's Music and Youth Task Force sought to create and fund an all ages music venue. The Vera Project is the result of that idea and has become a place where teens not only enjoy live music but also learn how to put on the show, they run the audio board, the lights, stage manage etc.
