Leadership Opportunities

The Washington Bus
The Washington Bus is young people here in Washington who want to make our state a better place. We offer leadership opportunities for you to make real political change.
WILD (Wilderness Inner-city Leadership Development)
International District Housing Alliance (IDHA) developed this youth leadership program to provide opportunities for youth (ages 14-19) to learn more about the wilderness and inner city skill development. WILD empowers youth to become responsible citizens for their communities. You can find the WILD application here.
El Centro de la Raza
El Centro de la Raza is a voice and a hub for Seattle and Martin Luther King, Jr. County’s Latino community as we advocate on behalf of our people and work to achieve social justice. Through our comprehensive programs and services, we empower members of the Latino community as fully participating members of society. We also work to raise awareness with the general public, and government, business and civic leaders about the needs of the Chicano/Latino community in the United States.
Seattle Youth Commission
The Seattle Youth Commission is a group of 23 Seattleites aged 13-19 from all over the city who are appointed by the Mayor and City Council to connect youth to their elected officials.
The Service Board
The Service Board provides Seattle area high school-age youth with life-changing experiences that build self-knowledge, skills, courage, and determination.
Vietnamese Friendship Association
VFA offers a variety of programs for youth and families that are designed to empower the Vietnamese community to succeed while at the same time bridging cultures.
Youth CAN - Wing Luke Museum
YouthCAN is a community-based leadership program for Asian Pacific American youth (ages 15-19) that works to connect youth with and take pride in their heritage. Through our High School Exhibits Contest, Summer Cultural Arts Experience, and Ambassador Program, APA youth learn how to use advocacy, arts, and cultural programming to take action on issues that affect the APA community.
