In 2002, the City of Seattle Community Technology
Program and the Citizens
Telecommunications and Technology Advisory Board (CTTAB) commissioned
a research project exploring the factors that contribute to the sustainability of community technology
centers (CTCs) in Seattle. Over the years, many organizations have acquired hardware and software to start-up new community technology programs, but struggle to find the resources necessary to continue offering quality services to the community.
