The primary use of utility information is customer billing, utility service delivery, and service management and improvement efforts. The information may also be used to inform you about utility-related programs and services available to you. Utility information may also be used for aggregate analysis to determine usage demand and infrastructure load patterns. Protections for Utility Information

The City adheres to several protections for electricity consumption information that are outlined by both the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Standards and the City's Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Ordinance.
