Membership Application Becoming an SMA member is a great way to connect with other managers and leaders in municipal government. And SMA members enjoy the benefits of special training events that give them the tools they need to do their job. Membership fees are $5.00 per month ($60 annually). SMA members within the City of Seattle pay dues via payroll deduction. Other public sector managers (associate members) are assessed a one time $15 registration fee. Dues for first-year associate members are pro-rated depending upon the month of application ($5 month). Dues thereafter are $60 per year and due by January 30. All applicants shall pay their registration fee and dues prior to entry into the Association. These fees will be refunded if membership is denied.
