East Precinct Auxiliary Parking Lot

Project Information:

The City of Seattle, through its Department of Finance and Administrative Services, Seattle Police Department, Office of Housing and Office of Economic Development, and Capitol Hill Housing have collaborated to bring together a mixed use project at the current East Precinct Auxiliary Parking Lot located at 1620 12th Avenue East, on Capitol Hill. The proposed mixed use development will include:

  • Parking for the exclusive use of the Seattle Police Department, built in an underground parking garage.
  • Approximately 6,300 square feet of retail/restaurant space located on the first floor.
  • Two arts and performance spaces located on the first floor.
  • Approximately 17,500 square feet of commercial office space located on the second floor.
  • 88 units of low income housing located on floors 3 through 6.

In exchange for contributing the land on which the mixed use development is being built, the City of Seattle will be provided with secure below-grade parking which will provide for the long-term infrastructure and parking needs of the SPD's East precinct.
