2011 City of Seattle Department WMBE Plans

The Mayor has stated a strong commitment to ensuring fair and equitable utilization of women and minority-owned businesses (WMBEs) in City contracts. The City Council has likewise provided support and legislation to institutionalize these commitments.

Each year, City departments review upcoming projects and expenditures to establish aspirational WMBE Utilization. These plans identify outreach and inclusion strategies intended to ensure that WMBE firms are included and City goals are achieved.
